Can anybody tell if this is L. f. mosieri? If it helps I think the host is the tree Diospyros mosieri :-)

All White shell

I found this one today while out looking for O.r. reses. I'll let you guys take a your best guesses. It was found in the Redland Farming District and was the only white one I found on a small shrub that had four additional snails. I did not disturb the snail and left it on it's leaf so the image angles are limited.

Long Pine Key, 1935.

I'm quite certain of the data. It is one of at least six specimens in the lot. The only other information I have is that it was found in a Long Pine Key "hammock that is now a lake."

Anybody know what this is? They are living on a dead, fallen tree in Castellow Hammock, are abotu 1cm long, and the tip is always broken off. Thanks!

Hi All,

Here's one I've asked about off-board, but wanted to put it up for another try. Tag says "likely from Key Largo" (no certain locality data with specimen). I saw a similar shell from Seven Acres posted on the web somewhere...cannot recall just where.

Whatever its parentage, it's a beauty! 50.94mm.

I've seen about eight of these. All are squat and banded. They fit best under luteus but this particular variety is distinctive and new to me. The specimens I've seen seem to have come from plants. I wonder where...

I haven't seen enough small ornatus to know if this ID is correct. The abundance of green lines is throwing me off a bit, but there is the typical slightly darker subsutural yellow band (beneath a very narrow white zone immediately below the suture), becoming a slight orange towards the new growth. Tip and columellar region are lightly pink....

What is this?

Here's another one I have some doubts over. Data as supplied: L. f. elliottensis X roseatus, Key Vaca, 61mm. It does have that dark, purplish parietal coloration I see in other "hybrids". With the naked eye, the tip appears to be jewelled, but on closer examination, it's just a tad darker than the rest of the upper apex.

Hi all,

Posted below are several images of shells received from various sources, and identified by the source as either lignumvitae or delicatus.

Two of the shells (#2 and #5) have the exact same inked info (that "B" for Ben Anlage) with the date of 9-86, and with the same locality data, LMK. They are from 2 different sources, and came with differing...
